Comparative Essay on Having or Not Having Children
I worked on one of the most controversial topics and compared between having or not having children in critical thinking course. At first, I was scared to attempt it because of various religious and social aspects of the issues. However, working on the essay was an interesting experience. I came up with different arguments for and in against of having children. I used my research and analytical skills to complete the assignment, therefore, it represents the competency of critical thinking.
Reflection:
I learned how to confidently express my opinions without fearing criticism or chaos. Also, I explored how to compare two completely opposite point of views, in terms of logic and emotions. This assignment has helped me in sharing my concerns and disagreements without offending or hurting others’ sentiments. It also taught me the way an argument has to be supported with examples. However, I will include opinions of both the parties with more powerful evidences when redoing the assignment and would suggest the same to my fellow students.
Case Study on a Fitness Mobile App
I was given a case study to work on, about a fitness app for full-time employees between the ages of 35 and 65. I explored the functionality and user interface of the face, along with the target audience’s willingness to use the app. I presented my review on the application. I used my skills of communication and critical thinking, along with my research skills for the skills which is why it represents the said competency.
Reflection:
It was one of the interesting projects to work as I did some personal research as well, and interviewed my father and uncles about whether they would like and use the app or not. I learned how a product is reviewed without involving personal likeness or unlikeness. I also learned about surveying to get knowledge about people’s point of view and then giving analysis on their views while keeping my personal opinion aside. I would compare the app with a successful fitness app if I will redo the assignment. I suggest others to use the app for a couple of days before working on this assignment.
Critique an advertisement
Introduction:
The objective of this assignment was to critically analyze the hotel booking advertisements.
And to discuss about how the powerful was the persuasion method. Also we presented some ideas of how this commercial ad can be improved. And how advertisement sometimes misleads the costumers.
Reflection
I learned in this assignment how you can use your brain to analyze and change the way of my thinking. First of all how to put your self in the others shows. Also I leaned how to focuses on hidden details and gestures, which normally are forgotten or tolerated. Also it makes realize that the presenting a good is an art required the skills of understanding the people needs.
